Raheen Woods Hotel Kids Club & Breakfast Train

We are delighted to offer a Kids Club During School Midterm Breaks and during July & August.  From 6-8pm Children can partake in activities, ranging from Arts & Crafts, Puzzle Night, Movie Night, Cookie Decorating followed by Story Time with a Glass of Milk. These activities can be booked at Check in.  All children receive a cmplimentary Ice-Cream on Check in Also.

Our Breakfast Train offers parents a lie-in.  The breakfast train attendant will collect the children from their bedroom at 8am and look after them for breakfast.  They also have fun with arts and crafts.  Children are dropped back to their bedroom door at 9am after they have had their breakfast.

Age limits apply and booking is essential.  There is a timetable of the activities available at reception to ensure children can partake in a different activity each day. 


Kardio Kids

Kardio kids Activity Zone at Raheen Woods Hotel has been created to provide the ultimate exercise and play experience. Your kids will have so much fun as they exercise, gain strength, balance, flexibility and social skills in a safe controlled and clean environment. Suitable for children of all ages. Opening hours 10am-6pm Wednesday to Sunday.

Turoe Pet Farm and Leisure Park

Turoe Pet Farm offers a unique facility for family, group and individual outings. No matter what the weather conditions are, there is always something to do! One can take a leisurely walk around the 14 acre park whilst feeding and cuddling the animals and enjoy the beautiful tranquil setting, fresh country air and the delightful sound of birdsong or go indoors to experience the excitement of children of all ages bouncing their way around the "Inflatable city" - one of Europe's largest bouncing castles. Dartfield Horse Museum & Hertiage Centre

A unique attraction of history, heritage and horses. Ireland's premier horse museum and park is truly a wonderful interpretation of the horse, emphasising the relationship between the Irish and their horses. Dartfield is the vision of legendry Irish horseman Willie Leahy, field master of the Galway Blazers and the largest breeder of Connemara ponies in the world.

It is the only museum in the world dedicated to Irish horses, Connemara ponies and Irish dogs. It features all aspects of Irish country life from 1800-1900 and vintage cars from 1901-1930. Dartfield is set amongst 350 acres of Parkland where visitors are welcome to explore the walking trails and see the farm animals, including deer, cattle, sheep, Irish horses and Connemara ponies.

Horse riding is available by the hour, half or full day, to suit all levels of ability. There are lots of interesting displays, a gallery, forge, saddlery, library and much more.


Galway Atlantaquaria

Galway Atlantaquaria, Ireland's National Aquarium, is the "jewel in the crown of visitor attractions in the West of Ireland" and is home to 170 species of fresh water fish and marine life. Situated on the famous Salthill Promenade, it has evolved to become one of the finest visitor attractions in Ireland.

Closed some Mondays and Tuesdays from November to February for essential tank maintenance.


Brigit's Garden

Wildlands Indoor & Outdoor Activity Centre

Located in Moycullen, Indoor & Outdoor Activity Centre with over 20 acres of mature woodland overlooking Ballyquirke Lough, offering a full day out of family fun for all ages. 



Aran Islands and Island Ferries

Corrib Princess

The Corrib Princess sails from Woodquay in the heart of Galway city to Lough Corrib, along the famous Steamers Line, which is the lakes traditional trade route.
The season begins in May with daily sailings for individuals at 12.30pm (July and August only), 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Ailwee Caves & the Birds of Prey Centre

In the heart of the Burren, lies one of the oldest caves in Ireland. This cave was formed by the glacial melt waters of an early ice age. The erosive power of the waters carved out an subterrainian river deep underneath Aillwee mountain. This river has subsided since the last ice age, leaving behind one of Ireland's most stunning caves.
A walk up Aillwee Mountain will reveal spectacular views of the fertile valley below, Galway Bay, and the Connemara Mountains beyond. The slopes below Aillwee Cave are home to one of the Burren's unique Hazel Woods. Take a stroll along the woodland trail and discover our examples of prehistoric dwellings and a charcoal kiln.These woods are maintained to preserve and encourage the natural flora and fauna of the area. Aillwee Cave is open all year round. Tour times are as follows: 10:00 to 17:30 daily 10:00 to 18:30 during July and August.
