Baby Sitting Service:

In an effort to extend the services we offer to families here at Raheen Woods Hotel, we provide a babysitting service year round subject to availability.

If you wish to book a babysitter please contact reception to receive the log in details for the babysitting service www.babysitters.ie

 

Emergencies:

In case of an emergency, such as a fire – please follow the procedures outlined on the door of your room to exit from the building.

In the case of any other emergencies such as medical – please contact a member of staff or the reception desk.

 Residents Bar

Only residents can be served drinks in our residents lounge after our main bar closes. Within this time frame cash cannot be exchanged and drinks can only be charged to the rooms after normal licensing hours.

In the interest of safety & in consideration of all our guests staying in the hotel, last drinks should be consumed in the residents lounge before retiring for the evening.

 

 

Please note children must be supervised at all times and vacate bar areas by 9.30pm each night. 

 

  

Facilities:

In an effort to save energy, we have decided to clean rooms upon request.  Therefore, if you wish to have your room cleaned please let us know by 10am. Should you require any extra towels, toilet paper, tea/coffee, milk etc please contact reception at any time.

The following items Pillows, extra large towels, blankets, baby cots & blankets, bathmats, baby bath, mini fridge, fan & shower chairs are available at reception and will be provided on request.

Raheen Woods Hotel boasts a number of upgrade options guests can avail of which can be organised promptly on request. Choose from luxuries such as a bouquet of flowers, champagne, wine, chocolates, fresh fruit baskets or extending your stay to include a spa treatment and/or round of golf from one of many local golf courses. Please contact reception for further details.

 

 

Kardio Kids!

Tranquillity Leisure and Spa, part of Raheen Woods Hotel, is delighted to offer a fantastic play experience for kids aged 3 months to 12 years. Kardio Kids (incorporating Ceramic Play) has been created to provide the ultimate exercise and play experience. Your children can stay & play at Raheen Woods Hotel, having so much fun as they exercise, gain strength, balance, flexibility and social skills in a safe and clean environment. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian during their visit at all times.

Summer Break (July & August): Monday to Sunday 10am to 6pm (subject to change)

 

 

Note that Residents benefit from a reduced entry fee of €6 for 1 day unlimited play.

 

 

Local Facilities:

All local facilities and entertainment may be sourced from the reception desk

(Dial 0).  Such amenities may include hairdressers, shops, bars, cafes, site seeing and places of historical interest. A range of information booklets & leaflets can be found at the reception desk, offering invaluable information on places of local interest.

Night porter is available nightly, from 10.30pm to 7am, please dial “0” for assistance

 

 

 

Note to all our guests:

Raheen Woods Hotel also provides room service to those who wish to avail of it. Simply phone reception to place your order, at a charge of €7.00 per tray.

Please note only food purchased at Raheen Woods Hotel may be consumed in the bedrooms. 

 

Please ensure all towels are replaced in your bathroom prior to departure. Should you wish to take any items with you we shall take it as authorisation that you wish to purchase item and we will charge to your account accordingly.

Parking:

Raheen Woods Hotel do not accept any liability in respect of any damage to any vehicle or accessories there on or contained there in while parked on the premises

 

Policies:

As you may notice, we love to have your children here at the hotel, but we respectfully ask that parent’s monitor the conduct of their children in and around the hotel at all times. We ask for proper decorum for the safety and comfort of all our guests and we sincerely appreciate the co-operation of parents who supervise their children while with us. Note also that, by law, all children must vacate the bar at 9.30pm each evening.

All guests are very welcome to enjoy themselves and conduct themselves in a respectful manner ensuring that they do not disrupt other guest’s privacy and enjoyment. Disruption and intoxicating behaviour is not acceptable. Guests may be charged for any loss of revenue to the hotel.

Any type of loss or damage to items in the room or public areas, including spillages, breakages or removal of items will be charged to the guest at the discretion of management.

We also wish to inform all our guests that Raheen Woods Hotel is a non-smoking hotel.  Guests are free to smoke anywhere outside the hotel but all indoor areas are strictly non-smoking and a fine of €200 is strictly applied for breach of this policy to your account without consultation.

 

Safe Keeping, Lost & Found Policy:

The hotel will make every effort to retrieve or hold any item left by the guest for a max of 30 days, after which time it will be disposed of. The guest is responsible for the shipping cost and any fees for the return to them by registered post only.

Tranquillity Leisure & Spa:

Our leisure facilities are complimentary to residents. Boasting a 20-meter deck level swimming pool & children’s pool with steam room, Jacuzzi, sauna and an extensive gymnasium, the Leisure Centre has something for everyone.

Leisure facilities are restricted to adults only from 7:30pm each day.

Towels are provided complimentary to Hotel Residents.

Swim hats must be worn and can be purchased for €2 from club reception.

 

Our onsite Spa consists of five treatment suites is also open to all residents and has the following opening hours:

Transport:

Direct Train Service from Athenry to Eyre Square Galway – 17 Departures / Arrivals daily.  Timetables are available at Reception. Private & public bus services are also available with further information available at the front desk.  Taxis are available by telephoning Liam at 083 0205263.

If you are walking into Athenry, please contact reception for a night reflective safety vest.

Our Green Policy – “Keen to be Green”

 

CARBON FOOTPRINT

Raheen Woods Hotel have undertaken the largest ever capital investment programme to implement a proactive policy of metering, measuring, monitoring, evaluating and managing our waste, energy, water and carbon in order to reduce our carbon footprint created by our organisation:

The hotel operates on 100% Green Renewable Electricity following the installation of 464 Solar PV units. This is the equivalent of planting 2,622 trees and 57.1T of CO2 emissions are saved

Our electricity suppliers fuel mix is 100% green, renewable energy

The hotel has 6 x electric vehicle charging points onsite, including 4 x Tesla charging points

All showers are fitted with water reduction heads

Key card activated power in all guest rooms

All light bulbs changed to LED lighting

Food waste monitored on a continual basis to minimize wastage

Green Purchasing Policy in place – all cardboard packaging from our suppliers is returned to them for reuse or recycling

Many of our food products are produced within Galway and the surrounding area

Encourage guests & staff to walk or use public transport

Use electronic mail where possible to reduce the use of paper

 

CO-OPERATION

We encourage guests to follow our 8 steps to a greener stay:

1. Please turn off lights & TVs when they are not in use
2. Why not walk or use public transport? 
3. Choose not to have a straw with your drink

4. Try order only what you think you will eat at breakfast 
5. Reduce waste through reusing and recycling

6. Keep windows closed if the heating is on

7. Saving water by not using running water while brushing teeth and shaving, and to report any leaks

8. Accept all billing by email, prior to departure

Towel and Linen Policy

We offer our guests the option to change their linen as their needs require and have adopted a policy where guests can let us know when linen is required to be changed.
