I am writing to in reference to the recent wedding of my daughter Elaine Kelly and her husband Stephen Foley, which was held in the Hotel on Saturday July 31st last. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you and your staff for making this a wonderful occasion for our family.
The level of service we received from your staff throughout our stay was top class - they were all so friendly and courteous and couldn't do enough for us. All our guests were hugely impressed by the fantastic quality of food served during the wedding reception, and indeed also in the restaurant and bar. The bedrooms as well were spotless and very comfortable.
All in all, we cannot say enough about the high standards at Raheen Woods Hotel and the facilities you provide. Once again, thank you so much for helping us ensure Elaine and Stephen had the unforgettable day they deserved.

"The hotel staff (especially Frank and Frances) really made it a magical day for us and were excellent with helping us prepare for it. The room was beautiful and really took our breath away when we saw it on the day. The food was excellent, the piper and the cutting of the beef was a lovely touch also. We cannot thank you all enough for that wonderful day and making it so special and stress free. All our guests were also well impressed with the hotel (staff & accommodation) and the food. We enjoyed the day so much and the garden was wonderful for the photographs. The Raheen Woods hotel truly exceeded our wildest expectation of our wedding day and it is the perfect venue for a wedding!"

A huge heartfelt thanks to Frank, Frances and all at Raheen Woods for their help in making our Wedding Day the best day of our lives. We fell in love with the place when we first went to check it out last August- the waterfall in the garden was the decider! Throughout the months leading up to the 'big day' both Frank & Frances were nothing but 100% helpful and professional to us and were always there to answer our questions or offer suggestions. On the day of the wedding everyone (including Lester) were there to make our guests feel really welcome, the food and service were exceptional as was the accomodation. Lots of our guests commented on how comfortable they felt and how relaxing the whole day was. We had our wedding ceremony there also and the room was absolutely beautiful, as was the reception room - it took our breath away! We would recommend the Raheen Woods without hesitation for any happy couples planning their wedding day. Thanks for everything guys

Dear Frances and all,
Words will never be enough to express our most sincere thanks to you, Frank, Paddy, Josephine, Lester and all in the hotel for our beautiful wedding on the 23rd April 2010.
The day we went out to the hotel to view it as our potential wedding venue, we were taken aback with the friendliness and professionalism of the team.
After being shown around the hotel, we were so impressed with everything, that we left that day knowing we had found our perfect wedding venue.
And what a perfect venue it was, the day went magically. From the piper who greeted us when we arrived at the hotel, the champagne reception, the wonderful food served so efficiently, the waiting staff who kept everyone's wine glasses topped up, to the impeccable service at the bar. When we meet people who were at our wedding, they still talk about the fabulous day they had and the level of service in the hotel being second to none.
We have to mention one person who for us stands out more than anyone else on the day and that is Frances.
For us, she made the wedding complete. She gave attention to every little detail of the day and in the lead up to the day, she was always available and open to any small queries we had in relation to anything.
Frances went out of her way on more than one occasion to assist people who required her attention on the day and she did this in a most inconspicuous manner that there were times that we weren't aware of her helping guests until someone informed us at our party the next day!
Frances, it would not have been the same without you and we thank you so much for giving us our dream day, it was more than we ever thought it would be.
We appreciate all the time, hard work and effort that went into making this day so special for us. The attention to detail was outstanding and the feeling we got when we walked into the function room on the day took my breath away!
Once again, to Frances, Frank, reception staff, bar staff, waiters, waitresses, chefs, kitchen staff, and management, to one and all, a sincere thank you, many blessings and best wishes. Without you all, we couldn't have had our day.

Myself & my husband Declan got married in the Raheen Woods Hotel on the 1st of January this year.
It was the perfect start to a new year, from the minute we arrived at the hotel to the minute we left 2 days later...it was all we had hoped for- the greeting we got, the kindness & the service of all the staff, the beautiful function room and the fabulous food, everything was excellent.
We really want to thank Frances who was just a pleasure to deal with, so kind & friendly, extremely helpful and down to earth.
We would highly recommend the RWH to anyone who is looking for the perfect wedding venue

We would like to sincerely thank the staff of Raheen Woods Hotel on making our wedding day the most spectacular day of our lives. Frances and Frank were so easy to deal with from the moment we viewed the hotel to the wedding day itself and were full of ideas on how to make our day special to us. They helped us out with any ideas we had and seeing as our wedding was on Halloween, they themed the hotel and reception room without us even having to say a word. The reception room was decorated beautifully.
The food was the talk of the night, not us! It was hot, delicious, with lots of second helpings if required.
Our guests have complimented the hotel in every aspect, from the food to the efficient and friendly staff and also complimented the comfortable bedrooms. Everyone loved it and have all remarked on how it was a wonderful venue for any function.
The wedding package could not be matched by any other hotel we looked at in Galway. They acknowledged the recession and it showed in their prices for us which of course was most appreciated.
Thank you so much for making our wedding day unique and the most enjoyable day for us and all our guests.

From our first decision to consider Raheen Woods Hotel for our wedding reception we were not disappointed. The entire staff were most helpful, friendly and professional in organising our day. No stone was left unturned. Where we wanted to introduce some small elements away from the norm it was never considered a problem.
The meal itself was gorgeous and every guest was treated with the utmost care and attention. The transition from reception to meal to band to disco was seamless.
Throughout the day the staff were always available to assist you in any way possible with the least amount of fuss and we could not express our gratitude in a few words.
I would be happy to recommend Raheen Woods Hotel for any event and the friendly approach of all the staff made the day go without a hitch.
To Frank, Frances and all the staff we thank you for all your help and our day in the Raheen Woods will always be memorable.

Myself and my husband got married on the 22-08-09 in the Raheen Woods Hotel, Athenry. After booking our wedding we changed the date (twice!) and the hotel was nothing but helpful and agreeable.
On the run up to anybody's wedding it is a stressful time with so much to arrange and organise. But I can honestly say that the one area that we didn't worry about whatsoever was the hotel and it's staff.
Frank and Frances are the most professional, friendly and organised planners and I even found myself calling Frances on areas that was of no obligation to the hotel.
The food was fantastic and guests are still talking about it now! We were served promptly, the food was piping hot and they offered seconds.
The hotel even reduced our price plan when the recession hit and hotels began to offer better deals. Above and beyond and I would highly recommend this hotel and it's staff.

Any worries I had about planning our wedding reception were very quickly put to rest the first day we met with Frances. From the very start of our planning right through to the day itself we had nothing but constant help and support from both Frances and the General Manager Frank. They went out of their way to make sure that our wedding was exactly what we had imagined and also helped us keep to our budget throughout which was extremely important to us.
On the day itself we will never forget walking in and seeing how beautiful everything looked. The meal was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Throughout the day and night all the staff were very efficient and our guests were well looked after.
When people talk about our wedding one of the things that is always brought up is how amazing Frances and the team were and what a stunning venue the Raheen Woods Hotel is to hold a wedding.
A heartfelt thank you to Frances and everyone else at Raheen Woods Hotel for helping make our wedding the best day of our lives.

Brian & I paid a visit to Raheen Woods one eve to have a look as we were planning our big day & I have to say on arrival we both loved the hotel, from the entrance to the reception area, we new straight away!! We had been there before to other events, but as we talked to the wedding planner we knew how special it would be for us!! Frank could not do enough for us & had plenty of ideas along the way, he called out of the blue leading up to he big day on a few occasions to see how we were getting on & offered his help all the time, I felt I didn’t even have to worry about anything regarding hotel as he had it all under control as us brides know we have alot on our minds!! When we arrived on the day it was a pleasure to walk in to meet our guests as I knew it would be flawless & it was!! Amazing feeling is all i can say, so welcoming arriving there, frank & frances were there all the time to assist on anything we needed, I couldn’t ask for more, our guests are still talking about the food!! It was amazing, the rooms were fabulous...they honestly made our Day!! Thank you to all the Raheen Woods Hotel Staff!! Only wish we could do it all over again....!

From the very first day we met Frances and viewed the Raheen Woods Hotel we were delighted with it and the staff. The package they offered us was above and beyond any other venue in the Galway area. Nothing was a problem and every request was catered for.
The week of the wedding especially Frances and Frank were wonderful and took a huge amount of pressure off us by looking after a number of key areas.
On the day all our hopes and expectations were exceeded in spectacular fashion and carried out by a team who had a genuine interest in making our day as original and perfect as we had hoped.

We had our wedding reception in the Raheen Woods Hotel, in June 2009 and would highly 100% recommend it as a wedding venue.
Originally, when we went to view the hotel and discuss the different wedding packages we were met by Frances who was very professional and very nice. She was extremely helpful and made us feel totally at ease and made our decision to choose Raheen Woods an easy one.
The day itself could not have gone better. The function room looked beautiful and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely fabulous (the nicest wedding meal we ever had!) and many of our guests commented on the beautiful meal and hotel.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Frances and all the staff at Raheen Woods Hotel for all their help and we would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to any couple for their wedding venue or indeed for any function.

We were delighted to be the first couple to be married at the Raheen Woods Hotel on the 22nd of May 2009 (Ceremony Blessing).
From the moment we first arrived at the hotel for their wedding fair, we were welcomed into a warm, friendly atmosphere and fell in love with the place immediately.
Both the managers and staff alike were so helpful and met our every need and request before and on 'the big day'.
Preparing for a wedding is no easy task, but with the help of the on-site wedding co-ordinator and manager, Frances, it was made completely stress-free for us.
The ceremony set-up was more than we dreamed of and was better than we ever anticipated. The ease of having our entire wedding here at the hotel enabled us to make the most of our day together with our family and friends, having our pictures taken in the lovely grounds outside.
Our reception was just as organised and efficient, with a fabulous, tasty meal and a quick turn-around for us to dance the night away.
We would like to thank ALL the staff who helped create the most wonderful wedding day for us both.
We would definitely recommend the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry to anyone wanting the best on their most important day.

Having our wedding reception at the Raheen Woods proved to be a great decision for us both. All the initial planning was very relaxed and calm and we felt the hotel always had everything under control. Once we entered the grounds of the hotel on the day of our wedding we knew everything was going to be fine. When we arrived at the hotel a member of staff was directing cars (in the rain!!) and that same member of staff was with us at the very end of the night making sure our guests had taxi’s etc and were all getting home safely. We were escorted from our car by half the hotel and bottles of champagne…it was a great touch, we really did feel special and it felt like the hotel were thanking us for our business and that they were delighted to see us arriving on the day.
Our reception room and bridal suite were decorated beautifully; it was obvious that a lot of effort and thought went into the preparation of the rooms. The food on the day was excellent and our guests commented on how good it was, how efficient the bar was, how friendly the staff were and how relaxed the whole day was. Our wedding was a local wedding so people were delighted they didn’t have far to go to get home. Each and every member of staff at the Hotel, from top management down, went out of their way for us and our guests. We can’t say enough good things about having our wedding in the Raheen Woods, we will always have fond memories of how we were treated by the hotel on our special day.
