Athenry is home to the world famous Galway Blazers hunting Pack and is surrounded by some of the best hunting terrain in Ireland. The Athenry area of Galway is ideal hunting country, varied and challenging, open and level in some areas criss-crossed by stone walls (for which the hunt is famous) in others.
